OMG. So. For those who remember, I've had several laptop malfunctions over the years, and after finally geting a REAL ZOMPUUUTER (sorta) now, I realize I'm missing a TON OF ARTWORK.

NO lie. I was sure I had backed up my stuff before but. It's gone.

I'm seriously crying right now. I'm missing EVERY PIECE OF ART anyone has ever drawn for me. I know I have a backup somewhere on disc, but ever since MOVING I'm having a hard time finding those discs too!

Please, if you still have copies of art you've made for me, please please resend them to me. I'm so sorry. I'm still missing a ton of stuff from Squeekbat, Kookybat, Ania, Meg, Rach, Bister, Frick, Dreamaria, Atelophobia, even GRAHAM, etc etc. It's REALLY making me upset.

I'm seriously so sorry for being stupid and LOSING precious things made for me, but if you have it in your heart (and your hard drive) to resend me this, I'd really appreciate it. And burn it onto a disc and save on a flash drive. Promise. <3

I have this posted on my LJ and Myspace, but I wanted to post here too.
How Ting lost her tail

My cat, Ting, likes to hide under the washing machine. Not under the entire machine, and not IN the part where you actually put clothes. She squeezes through the hole where the water pipes go in, and hides in the piping underneath. She won't come out for treats, she won't come out when I call her, she won't play with toys.....she just likes it in there.

After the last time we got her to come out, I put faceplate back on the machine. However, the screws are missing, and I can't find ones that fit. SO we just put the faceplate on tight, and it's been several days and she hasn't hidden down there--she hides upstairs.

Anyway last night she came running upstairs, and hid under the sofa. After checking on her, I freaked out: Ting had her entire tail missing, along with a little bit of skin and fur from her butt/haunches.

I began to cry and curl up in a ball, and one of my friends, Cindy came upstairs and SHE freaked out and almost cried. It was so bad. Ting seemed ok though: she wasn't in shock and wasn't bleeding much at all.

I took her to an emergency vet in town, and they said that because of the tear, they'd have to put in sutures to seal off the wounded area. We stayed a couple hours, but the vet told us to come back in the morning.

We took these on a camera phone, so the quality is poor. However, she was in a good mood! We pet her and gave her antibiotic, and she purred and rolled around on my feet. :3 I'm glad she's at least going in good spirits.

Today she is OK; she will never have a nice beautiful tail, but she will live. She has staples and tubing put in, and she seemed angry at the vet. As soon as we came home, she went to her litter box, and ate some food and drank water and began to PLAY! I've been watching her today and she comes up to cuddle with me, and purrs.

I think she'll be ok, but there is still blood and stitching and I am worried. Right now I'm worried about how to pay for this. Her bill is over $1000 (kitty drugs are expensive) and I have my own medical bills to worry about.

I don't know how to cover both our expenses, but I feel bad taking money from friends to pay for myself. PLUS there is STILL a chance I can get my insurance to cover my bill.

Ting's surgery, however, will not be covered. If anyone can spare some extra money to help pay for her veterinary bills, I'd appreciate it very much. It's my cat for God's sake, and I am worried about her. :<

Yes, ladies and gentlefolk, ~batness had been banned!

Starting yesterday, I was banned for 24 hours. (My ban was lifted about a half hour ago)

Why? Let me begin.

A deviant, the name I cannot mention, stole *croaky's artwork last week. She re-posted an original pic by Croaky, LEFT THE SIGNATURE on the pic, and submitted it as her own.
Croaky had mentioned the art theft in her Livejournal, and I plodded on over here to report the stolen work.

After submitting a DA violation on the stolen work, I promptly left her a comment on her page saying "It's a good thing she took Croaky's art down, otherwise I was gonna spam it with flames. X D"

Probably not the kindest thing, but hey. She HAD just stolen some art! The art thief's gallery was 80% comprised of stolen art. The sucky thing was I couldn't track down all the originals here on DA, only the pic she stole from Croaky.

I also read this thief's DA journal, and all the girl does is threaten to kill people and animals, and claim she is smarter than everyone else (of course, her accusations are backed up with terrible spelling/grammar/statistics/etc). I pestered her a bit, then posted my own journal saying "WOW, this is fun!"

I received a note from DA saying if I didn't remove my journal within 24 hours, I'd be "subject to review" and possibly permanently banned. Why? For making fun of someone and mentioning the DA name. OOOKAY. Because that never happens online. Or DA for that matter. *eyeroll*

I also had ALREADY been banned for 24 hours for--"Public accusations of theft" on the ART THIEF'S DA page. It's ok, you can scratch your head too, LORD KNOWS I did. Anyway, I guess it's wrong to just throw words like "thief!" around to people that have stolen art.

Notice: I got a response from the "Help Desk."
Regardless of whether or not your accusation is true we do not allow such public statements to be made due to the hostile situations which typically follow them.
Please confine yourself to contacting the helpdesk so such situations can be quickly resolved by the proper staff.

Seems a little bit "hostile" to ban someone for correctly "accusing" someone of stealing art. Especially considering that I *did* report her for the stolen piece that I could track down. I knew other deviations were stolen, but I couldn't link the originals, so I didn't report them.

I believe it's ok to say "HEY take down your stolen art!" When it IS stolen, but I can't report the deviation. SEEMS FAIR TO ME. If I wrongly accused someone, they'd either ignore it or flame the crap outta me and I'd deserve it.
Either way that in itself doesn't deserve a ban.

I'm just glad SHE got banned.
